When the poor little cambodian dies. That was really sad. ( what also is sad is hearing about when the actor who played the guy trying to save him, died in real life as well.)

Subject: Ed Norton kicks butt

Toward the beginning of the movie, Ed Norton gets a visit from a big guy out to collect money or something.. I forgot. But you'd think that Ed's going to take a beating from this guy who's twice or more his size.
Ed beats the crap out of him though.

At the end, when he loses his girl to one of the more studlier guys of the group.. basically the bad boy who treated her like dirt. The music that started playing in that scene was the perfect song that really kicked up the true heart-breaking agony: James Ingram.. dang, I forgot the name of the song.

eggman Superman OWNED That Situation 2007-09-08 at 16:48
Subject: Turned it around on them

Superman tells those three super-goofballs from Krypton that if he (superman) were to go inside the chamber, he will lose his powers.. but he turned it around on them and somehow set it up so that anyone outside the chamber will actually lose their powers.

So those three super-criminals turn into everyday mortals.
What was also cool, in the same scene, is when Lois slugs the former-super, but now mortal, chick criminal in the group.

Subject: Zellweger, what a honey

Basically the first scene I saw her. I had never seen her before in anything, and my jaw dropped. What ironically WOW'ed me was not any overwhelming quality of beauty, as in a Marlyn Monroe or Charlize. She just had this disarming, kind of humble cuteness and a very acute quality of femininity and loveableness about her facial expression.
Gawd that made absolutely no sense.

Subject: Charlize Theron

She can't be human.. she's just too perfect. I've never seen such a perfect specimen of a woman in my life, and when I saw this particular Depp movie, it was all over, I was gone. I forgot all about my infatuation with Phoebe Cates after seeing Theron.

( of course O.J. has a better chance of becoming the Pope than I am of hooking up with Charlize, even if she was single )

eggman The Shining OWNED That Situation 2007-09-08 at 18:16
Subject: The smart kid, and his escape at the end

This is a combination of both an example of "owning" a situation, and a great ending. When Jack Nicholson is stalking his own child down, in that giant maze - granted that Jack was also possessed - this kid keeps his cool.
I love the way that he kept his thought together despite his own dad coming after him with a freakin axe, and he backtracked by stepping inside his own snow footprints, to make it look like he could have gone either way. That still wasn't a guarantee that he actually made it out of there, but it was great to see that.

Subject: Forgot which one.. the third or fourth one

The part where Harry was taught that if he uses his wand at the same as thinking loving thoughts (such as thinking about this mother or something), ... his magic is then powerful enough to kill those goulish ghastly things that fly in the air.

It reminds you of what The Secret movie tells you to do: to think upon your desires and this attracts a more pleasant life.

.I never forgot about that part.

Good overall message. I liked the fact that this introduced metaphysics to the general public.

Hopefully many viewers didn't stop at just this movie (which got silly at many points), and actually began reading the old stuff, such as Wlliam Atkinson and Neville Goddard.

Some of my favorite make-you-jump moments occur in this masterfully done horror movie. Loved it. I think I hate the ending, but I'm not sure.

This might not make sense, but the ending is probably perfect for the movie and fits it, but I still hated the ending.
But I immensely love the movie and recommend it.

At the very beginning (pardon if I'm wrong about which star wars it was), he's got one of those snow alien creatures coming at him, but he's hung up on some kind of trap. Thankfully, Yoda taught him well so he telekinesis-izes his lightsaber right to him and drops the creature with it.
